Warrants of the city after they have been presented to the city clerk-treasurer and by him endorsed “not paid for want of funds” and said endorsement signed by him, together with the date of said endorsement, shall draw interest at the legal rate of eight percent from the date of such endorsement until the city clerk-treasurer shall give notice to the holders of said warrants to present them for payment. (Ord. 95 § 1, 1902).

3.08.020 Payment of warrants.

Whenever the city clerk-treasurer shall have funds on hand sufficient to pay any or all of said warrants he shall cause a notice to be published in the official paper of the city calling upon the holders of said warrants to present them for payment, and notifying them that from and after the date of said notice interest on said warrants shall cease. (Ord. 95 § 2, 1902).
