The method of handling petitions for annexations of property to the city shall be as prescribed by RCW Chapter 35A.14, as currently enacted or as the same may hereafter be amended. (Ord. 625 § 2, 1979).

In addition to the requirements of RCW Chapter 35A.14, any petition seeking the annexation of any property to the city shall be accompanied by a filing fee as established by resolution of the city council, which fee shall be nonrefundable. In addition to the above filing fee, the persons filing such a petition shall pay to the city on demand of the clerk-treasurer the actual costs incurred by the city in connection with such petition, and all actions taken pursuant thereto, for copying, publication costs, postage and recording fees. No final action upon such a petition shall be taken until all such fees and costs have been paid in full. (Ord. 1119 § 20, 2003: Ord. 625 § 3, 1979).
